And just like that, we have a month-old baby boy. At 5:56 pm on August 21, 2021, we were forever changed.
Yesterday was all about us, now it's all about him. Our little dude, deuce, peanut, bambino, FDB2, yep all that we are working on nicknames still :)
Over the last month, we have grown even closer as a couple as we have become parents to our little man. Dad loves to hold him in his arms while hanging out in the rocking chair. Mom can’t get enough of the skin-to-skin time as he lays on her chest. Those precious moments as he looks up at mom with those beautiful brown eyes as he nurse. Right now we are still in newborn diapers, but we are growing pretty fast so we will be moving up soon. We are also on 0 bottle nipples but in the process of transitioning soon to 1s.
Our first outpatient cardiologist appointment was Wednesday and baby boy is doing great. He is now 8 pounds and 4 ounces, he’s growing and growing. So far we haven’t had to fortify his milk intake to increase his calories. Right now he eats every 3 hours and 3 ounces each feeding. He loves the boob and can smell mom a mile away.
He loves the ceiling fan and can just sit and watch it. Deuce is already leaving to move his head around. He enjoys his morning FaceTime to grandma Marsha Ann.

Our little guy was wide awake the whole photoshoot his auntie was there to hold him and make sure he was calm and cool.
